Water Rate Increase

Effective May 6th, 2025, The Village of Stronghurst passed an ordinance raising water rates. The new rate is $25 for the first 2000 gallons and 4$ for each additional 1000 gallons. The Village of Stronghurst has not raised water rates in many years. This increase was needed to cover increased cost in supplies and testing, as well as, meeting grant requirements for critical water infrastructure.
Also, we ask that there is absolutely no filling of pools! We can not sustain that amount of water at one time. We are currently still hauling water when needed. The process of getting our new well in the ground has started but as everything else, it will take time. Please help by conserving all the water we can!
